Michigan based Illustrator and graphic designer, Lydia Lalonde, is a recent graduate at Calvin University with a BA in Graphic Design. While she majored in graphic design, Lydia combines her illustration and design skills in each of her projects. Lydia’s illustrations and designs work to visualize an emotion, moment, or narrative through color and simple line art. She strives to visualize and convey emotions that otherwise are invisible.  

 

Recently, Lydia has delved into printmaking. She hand carves her designs into linoleum and prints them by hand. This new medium allows her to focus on the physical process of carving and printing her pieces as well as the unique properties and limitations of the medium.
